Knemetic

How It Works

AI agents that don't stop at an answer.

Most AI generates text and waits for a human to act. We build agents that connect to your business systems and execute workflows directly, within defined boundaries.

The difference between answering and acting

Chatbots and copilots are impressive, but they still leave the execution to your team. Knemetic agents cross the gap into taking action.

Traditional AI (Chatbots & Copilots)

User asks a question
AI generates an answer
Human reads the answer
Human executes the action

The Execution Loop

This is the fundamental sequence every Knemetic agent follows to execute a workflow safely.

Step 01

Trigger

A business event starts the workflow — an inbound request, a missed call, a CRM status change, a new ticket, or a calendar event.

Step 02

Understand

The agent parses the incoming payload, determines what is being requested, and identifies the necessary business outcome.

Step 03

Retrieve Context

Before doing anything, it gathers facts. It pulls relevant information from connected systems, knowledge bases, conversation history, or customer records.

Step 04

Decide

It evaluates the context against its defined scope, business rules, and policies to determine the correct next action.

Step 05

ACT

It actually performs the work. It sends a message, calls an API, updates a CRM record, books a meeting, creates a ticket, or routes work to a human.

Step 06

Verify

It checks its own work. Did the API call succeed? Is the workflow now in the expected state? This prevents silent failures.

Step 07

Escalate

If the request is outside its authority, ambiguous, risky, or requires human judgment, it stops and hands the work to a person with full context.

Agents don't work in isolation

An agent is only as useful as the systems it can interact with. We build integrations across your existing operational stack.

Autonomy has boundaries

"Autonomous" does not mean unrestricted. Our agents operate strictly within the guardrails you define. If an action isn't explicitly permitted, it escalates.

  • Defined API permissions (Read vs. Write)
  • Strict workflow scope
  • Business rules & policies
  • Pre-approved action templates
  • Hardcoded escalation conditions
  • Mandatory human-in-the-loop checkpoints

See it in practice

How this loop applies to our real-world HVAC booking scenario.

TriggerReceives the missed call event.
UnderstandIdentifies the caller wants to book service.
RetrievePulls the caller's past work history from the CRM.
DecideConfirms it's a standard maintenance request.
ACTChecks calendar, texts the customer options, and books the slot.
VerifyChecks the CRM to ensure the appointment record was created.
EscalateIf caller mentions an emergency leak, transfers to on-call tech.

Have a workflow that still requires people to move work between systems?

Let's map it. We'll tell you honestly if an agent can execute it.
